NYFW Makeup Trends

New York Fashion Week shows more than just the upcoming clothing trends. We were equally inspired by the makeup looks we saw on the runways. Runway makeup is usually really bold, bright, and exaggerated, but that doesn't mean that you can't make them wearable.
The trick is to tone the makeup down somehow. Lexie was inspired by the bright colored makeup seen on Honor's runway, but made it wearable by using a light purple. Purple is more acceptable for everyday, and it also makes brown eyes pop! Claire took inspiration from the bold, thick eyeliner seen from Jean-Pierre Braganza. She toned it down by making it much thinner, but still kept it fun by winging it out. Emily loved the graphic white eyeliner used on the models during the Nanette Lepore show. She made it wearable by focusing the white more in the inner corner of the eye and didn't wing it out at the ends. White eyeliner gives a really brightening affect to the eyes.
Runway makeup can definitely be intimidating, but all it takes is a little bit of tweaking to make it suitable for everyday wear!
