Because Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday this year, it's a great day to do brunch. For this meal, it is refreshing to keep your color palette light (note Emily's summer brunch outfit); the blush pants also add a fun touch of pink for the holiday. A white button front shirt keeps the outfit clean and simple, and the combo makes a great outfit for a daytime date. To keep the outfit balanced she chose a light toned snakeskin pump. We definitely suggest a pointed toe as it is more feminine, especially if you choose to do a flat or low heel.

Dinner

When going out for a romantic dinner, you don't have to wear the classic red and pink. Statistic from Rent the Runway have surprisingly shown that red and pink are actually out this year (WhoWhatWear article on the matter found here). Lexie chose to dress up her striped fitted dress. The tight fit allows it to be sexy while the neckline and length keep it classy. The midi length is also on trend, and the tight fit makes it more flattering for a wider range of body types. Add a clutch and a fun pair of pumps to dress it up, and you're ready to go.

Dress: Marshalls, I also like this midi dress / Heels: Kate Spade, another fun pair / Clutch: Target, similar here / Necklace: Old Navy, similar one here

GNO

Emily's look for a V-day girls night out is super fun. Her fringe top is more playful than romantic which makes it great for a night out. The tuxedo pants balance out the top to make the look more sophisticated. To add a pop to the black outfit she chose a leopard pair of kitten heels--kitten heels are a great way to stay comfy all night. She finished her look with a clutch and her everyday watch and rings.

Top: Banana Republic, good option here / Pants: Barney's, nice pair of tailored pants here

Christmas is nearly a week away, so we know this weekend will be full of holiday cheer! We love the chance to get dressed up and celebrate with friends and family. Emerald and wine tones are a more sophisticated take on the classic red and green. If you want keep your colors neutral, you can simply add gold accents to to stay festive.

Lexie's classic wrap dress is great for any occasion. While the color is a nice muted take on the holiday green, her accessories help give it that touch of holiday spirit. Her pearl necklace with touches of gold compliment the subtle sparkle in her pumps. When it comes to picking out accessories for Christmas, gold is always the way to go.

If you choose not to wear a dress, there is still a way to dress up pants and a sweater like Claire did here. This also works well as a day to night outfit for office parties. Take any long scarf you might have and drape it around your shoulders to act as a shawl; it will take your look from casual to formal. Adding a statement necklace and pointed toe will finish off your look.

Emily's dress is a purchase specific for the holiday season. The ruching at the sleeve, and empire waist make for a flattering silhouette, while the color and embellished collar add the perfect touches for the holiday. Another bonus is that it require little to no additional accessories, ultimately creating an effortless outfit. Because the focus of this look is the dress, finish with a clean and neutral pump.
Whether you are dressing up for the holidays or just lounging in an ugly sweater, we wish you a Merry Christmas!

Our Casual Holiday Party outfits were more suited for a laid-back party, but we know that most people also have fancier events to go to or just enjoy putting on a pair of heels. One of our guilty pleasures is dressing up, and around the holidays is the best time to get to do that. When you're putting together your outfit, you don't have to limit yourself to the classic bright red and green.
Emily and Claire included red and green in their outfits, but in a different way. Claire's dress is a rich burgundy color and Emily's tights are a darker, more emerald green. Lexie didn't include red or green (besides her red lipstick), but made gold the main focus of her outfit and paired it with a reindeer sweater to keep it festive.
To compliment our outfits we decided to take these pictures in Grand Central Terminal, which is beautifully decorated this time of year and is just beautiful in general.
Whether you're going to a party with friends, or a family get together, we think that any excuse to dress up is a good one!

The holiday season is finally upon us! Its the most wonderful, but also one of the most stressful times of the year. While shopping for presents for your loved ones can definitely get overwhelming, deciding what to wear to holiday parties shouldn't have to be.

These outfits will work best for a more casual holiday get-together, or for someone who might not like to get super dressed up.

All of our outfits featured simple pants and simple shoes, but our tops are much more fun and festive. Lexie wore a blouse with sheer sleeves and a gold embellished neckline, Emily wore a button up shirt with a beaded collar under her fair isle sweater, and Claire wore a classic red sweater, but dressed it up with emerald green statement necklace.

We hope that our outfits can be some inspiration for your upcoming holiday festivities.
